In 2002, an individual mill in Sabah achieved the highest Oil Extraction Rate (OER) of 24.11%.
By August 2019, Malaysia's average OER was 20.61%.
However, plantations using EFER technology for two years, without increasing planting costs, have achieved an OER of 26.7%.
This significant improvement offers substantial economic benefits, particularly for large plantation owners with substantial annual production capacities
